collimating..am i far out

i just had to mess about with it....me being me.i asked the shop i got the scope from to collimate it for me,which they did.but with the cloudy nights,boredom and just looking at the scope decided that i'd have a go...many many hours l8r i feel that im not gettin any nearer.could someone please take a look and let me no where im goin wrong.the last picture taken down the focuser looks bobbins i know,but through the collimating cap looked ok.:hello2:

It does not look too far out to me. If it stays clear give the scope a star test on Polaris - the images either side of sharp focus should look like a polo mint with the dark shadow of the secondary being the "hole" in the middle. If the shadow is central in the "polo mint" then the scope is in reasonably good collimation.

It should be slightly offcenter if it is a fast scope.............small F number and central if slow high F number................if your scope is F4/5/6 then it looks ok

but like already said focus on Polaris and focus in and out to see if you get a doughnut, if the dougnut ring is in the center then you are OK.
