Valentine Moon (14th Feb 2011)

Attached are a few small mosaics of the Moon taken on 14th Feb. SW 180Pro Mak-Cass and webcam. Processed in Registax, PS CS5 and imerge. Gassendi was with a Tal 2x Barlow and could have done with a few more frames!

Nice capturing, the plato exposure was a bit high, but its easy to do that ive done it myself often, whites could be dropped a bit to control brightness. ( image analyzer has that freeware ) Gassendi looks good, under good seeing you will nail that.

Nice going with the mak, i had meade 7" For years, nice lunar scopes for there size, as can be seen here. look foward to seeing what you can do under good seeing. seeing in the uk of late from what i can tell from posts around most of the country, wasnt great ( certainly not here ) if thats so, i would imagine some lovely chances coming your way in the coming months, Good luck. think we all need that in good ole sunny britain. But great results can be got. as has been shown by stephan slammel pete lawrence, John h before he left.
