This is just a quickie that I went for after I'd lost my main target for the night.

8 x 6 minute subs = 48 minutes data at ISO800

That's excellent - not a particularly bright object which responds to an OIII filter quite well but frankly, with your image, you don't need the benefit of OIII

Thanks guys - this one's a real bonus for me really - I lost my main target (the Cone Nebula) at about 10pm and wanted to carry on for a while longer so I slewed round to this for 45 minutes. I was quite surprised how faint it is, but I'm happy that I've managed to get the Owl's eyes. Sadly, times running out for me to get the cone now for this season and with the unmodded camera, I need much more data (only have 1 hour 50 minutes so far) With luck I may be able to get more once the moon dissappears again but time is running out.

Thats a great result with dark patches and colour coming through nicely.

Very nice capture sparrow, not very much noise considering you only got 8 subs.
