Did you ever sort your scratch out on ya scope? i intend on putting some tape on mine were the tube rings go so to prevent it happening again..

Haven't had time yet matey.

Want to do it before December though - want my baby to look shiny and new for the SP!!

And yes, I had thought about the same thing - some clear tape of some description...

Funny you should say that it's half the reason i brought this up like you i want my scope baby to look the part other than a beat up scope at the moment well not quite but it still hurts to see it........

It really bugs me!!!

I now find myself examining it all over, just to make sure there are no more....

My wife calls me a sad git. Can't imagine why............ :?

Ok, I now have the paint and some clear lacquer. Got a big can of the stuff - just in case :?

So, I need to plan time to get it done, but with trying to get my conservatory glazed before the SP, don't think I'm going to get time (if I don't get it glazed, I ain't going - the boss has spoken :gulp: )

Also, I think I am going to do a couple of mods at the same time:

1: Rear fan to cool the mirror cell

2: Tube fan to cool the tube

3: Move the mirror cell up the tube a fraction

No doubt I will have questions when I do this, and I will keep you all updated of course, but this will be fun!

If anyone wants to chip in advice and any pitfalls I should be aware of, I would be eternally grateful!!
