video capture software

i have just received my phillips spc 880 (flashed) and i have just bought myself a netbook. i have downloaded stellarium and now im in need of some good (free) software to capture video

edit; where is a good place to download drivers for the webcam im looking on morgans but no luck (tho i have been drinking) and what version of drivers do i need .as the camera has been flashed thanks again

thanks for the links any idea on what drivers to download as i have a flashed 880 .so do i need 880drivers or for the SPC900NC

Star_Chaser, you will need the spc900NC drivers as the camera was an 880 before flashing.

You can get the drivers from SPC900NC/00 Philips Webcam SPC900NC VGA CCD with Pixel Plus - Philips Support.

Also SharpCap and WXAstroCapture are nice and are also free and both work well on my netbook. Try all 3 capture progs and see which you like best.

As for Capture soft there are many free ones like wxastrocapture, SharpCap and as mentioned above craterlet. As they are free try them all and see which one you prefer.

I have found Sharpcap to be a very good compromise between controllability and ease of use. It is also free and works well with the flashed SPC880.

Another vote for Sharpcap from me - works on a fairly old weedy laptop with no problems.
