George
Had a drive down to Stockport Telescope Centre specificly to see a EQ6 in the flesh, I'm gobsmacked  it's an absolute monster. The tripod could be used as scaffolding I'm sure, 2inch diameter legs looked huge and the brushed stainless steel finish looked absolutely gorgeous, rock solid too. And the head is absolutely huge, Rick (I think thats the guys name) took me into the workshop at the back where he was setting one up and invited me to pick it up, jesus is that thing heavy Well after the little trip its made my mind up, the EQ6 is the mount for me 8)
GazOC
Where mounts are concerned, its the 'best bang for your buck' out there IMHO.
psychobabbler
Do either of you know the difference in weight between an EQ6 and an HEQ5?Thankspsychobabbler
GazOC
The EQ6 is 16kg and the HEQ5 is 10kg. Those figures are for just the mount head, no tripod, weights, scope etc.
