Just another boring old SN2011b pic

OK, I know these are getting boring, but this is mine and so it is, by definition, intrinsically interesting (at least to me:D)

Friday 28th Jan, 30sec subs (plus darks) taken between 7pm and 9pm on canon 1000D, 102mm refractor on altaz mount, no filters, sky/LP conditions 3m5-4m0. Stacked in DSS (95/129 lights used) and then 'tweaked' in GIMP.

So, I've got egg-shaped stars and a posterized galaxy. Know what? I don't care because I have also got the supernova (which was the object of the exercise).

I reckon the result puts it between 3UC 337-022191 (12m65) and 3UC 337-022181 (12m69), probably towards the fainter end of that, so about 12m67/12m68 would be my estimate. I have included a smaller extract with these star magnitudes labelled, so do feel free to argue with me about my brightness estimate.

Thanks for looking.
