Wonderful Obsevation!

Just observed Jupiter and its' moons for the first time with my new scope! Wow!What a fantastic experience. The clouds came over but didn't spoil the thrill! I feel like a kid again! Always wanted to see something like this........ Brilliant!

I was watching it tonight too. Jupiter is the one that seduced me. The moons are the classic observation, the one Galileo made and proved that the Earth is not the centre of the universe. Tiny dots but it's still quite something to see them for real.

Jupiter was my first target, too. It's incredible to see it with your own eyes rather than in a book or on TV.

I usualy watch Jupiter and its always changing moons, but I'm waiting for saturn... but I need a new eyepiece to catch it!
