Telrad finder

Recommended Posts

I was watching the first episode of The Planets last night and something stood out to me. At one point there was someone being interviewed in an observatory in front of a massive telescope, must have been tens of thousands of pounds worth, and there on the bottom of the scope was the same £40 piece of equipment I have on my £130 scope. Made me smile to myself a bit. Just shows how well thought of they are.

I broke mine when the OTA took a bump...... tried a Rigel to replace it. 2days later bought a Telrad.

Little trick I have learned with mine mounted on the SCT. If your looking to center on the moon for a Solar System Align or a quick look you can line up the reflection of the moon on the front glass surface instead of the back with the reticule you look down on.

Works a treat and saves the back.
