On The Moon With My Daughter

Hi there

I have just had a nice couple of hours out under the moon with my 9 year old daughter. I scanned around and showed her various craters and ridges, she really like Schroters Valley. She also asked some interesting questions and understood what the terminator is.

The boys might be a write off, but with Ellie, how knows?

It's great when your children enjoy your hobby as well, I love it when my son comes out and observes with me. It also gets him off his PS3 which can't be a bad thing.

My 5 year old daughter came out and had a good look with me the other night. She seemed pretty impressed as well. Well, for 5 minutes anyway

My 5 year old got his first look at Jupiter the other evening. That seemed to fire his imagination up. My 3 year old likes a quick look at the moon. And I do mean quick!

It's a wonderful thing when the kids take an interest too. I have one who has sparked a major interest now and the younger one (7) who has an increasing interest. I love it when they join me outside.
