Ok,

So! first time viewing the moon with my new 250px.

i got a little snap happy! a couple of photos of different mag using the stock EP's that came with the scope. just held up my blackberry bold against the eye piece! not bad for such a rubbish camera i thought!

I've used a mixture of filtered/unfiltered shots. they looked a lot better on the blackberry.

I know they aren't anything spectacular compared to all the fantastic photos you see on this site, but i just wanted to share my first experience with you all.

Cheers:hello2:

i found it really hard to start off with, trying to line up the tiny lens on the camera with the angle of the light being emitted from the telescope lens.

but i'm pretty happy with them. just need to save for a DSLR,Tring and hyperion :)

Hi, for a start you photos are not too bad at all. We have all been where you are and all had to start somewhere. It really is a matter of trial and error and finding the different settings on a camera until you get the best results.

It is a great feeling when you manage to capture something seen through the scope that you are able to share with others.

Keep at it and hope to see your future results.

Nice views, the moon is amazing. If you have a web cam and usb lead try capturing the moon that way. You need an adapter or an old 35mm film canister! but you can get even better views for next to no money...Or use a digi camera with a digiscoping frame which is alright.. The images on here might cringe at my suggestions but for imaging the moon for less than £100 its fun...

Ok!

Its been a few months - time for round two. here are my latest offerings. again, using my blackberry camera! eek! lol

played with some settings and on one image i had a little tweak in photoshop for giggles.

They're not world class! but i'm happy with the results so that's all that that matters i suppose!

i know this is a lunar section, but i also attached a quick snap of Jupiter (very little detail however)

see attached
