Apparently my Ez Finder II broke. Not sure why.

Whats a good Finder for 8" Dob

Budget of about £100 and under.

Expect you have tried a new battery ? Many RDFs take a CR 2032 lithium,

Yes, got them last night at Sainsbury, I tried to fiddle with battery thing it comes on but let it go it goes off, so there's something wrong with battery area.

Perhaps try cleaning / adjusting the battery contacts ?

Tried that, I have only used the finder like about 5 times in my backyard. Just don't understand why it broke. Maybe the light bulb fried? If I left the lights on scope for weeks? Forgot to turn it off?

If you left it on, then a new battery would sort that.

Thinking about it, I recall having a problem some years ago that

I fixed by removing the on/off switch knob, squirting a tiny amount

of switch cleaner (Maplins) into the variable illumination part, and

refitting the knob, then winding it back & forth several times, to

clean the contacts in there.

It could just work in your case.

ive just bought one of these from FLO

If you can't get it fixed then I'd buy a Telrad for £40. They are the best finder on dobs I reckon.

Get a 2" or 4" riser for your Telrad it stops you putting your cheek on the side of the freezing cold telescope on frosty nights

They tend to dew up pretty quickly but you can easily make a DIY dew shield for it.
