SCT Focuser...

When I turn the knob clockwise on a SCT focuser what am I doing?

Am I in effect moving the EP in or out (I do realise that I'm moving the mirror).

So maybe a better question, when I turn the focuser clockwise and I moving the mirror up the tube or down the tube?

have a feeling your moving the mirror closer to the ep when turning clockwise, but im sure some of our more learned members might know for sure

You're pulling the mirror down the tube. Anti clockwise it goes back up

It's on a screw thread so if turned clockwise it pulls stuff towards the head (as in woodwork).
