Morning suprise

I just thought I'd post about a nice suprise I had this morning. I woke up at around 07:00, and when I finally decided to open the curtains at about 07:30, the ISS was just in the process of appearing from behind the trees outside my window! I can't believe how lucky I was to catch it purely by chance, and I got out of bed and opened the window to watch it pass by Saturn, Venus and the crescent Moon, where it eventually faded into the fog. That was a nice way of waking up.

I saw the crescent moon, Venus and Saturn this morning as well, but I missed the ISS. It is as you say a lovely way to be greeted first thing in the morning.

Can't believe I was scrapping the car windows at 7am in -6 degs of temperature, and didn't notice the ISS. Saw the moon and venus though looking very beautiful

Same here, went out to defrost the car and was dumbstruck by the low moon with Venus and Saturn above it. Looked to the zenith and saw a satellite passing through Ursa Major. Savoured the veiw for a few minutes - a morning to remember!

I saw the moon and venus this morning and was realy wishing I didn't have to work so early and could get the binos or scope out.

Was an awsome site in the crisp morning and I would have loved to see the iss too
