Tripod / Mount identity help.

Polar Bear

Recommended Posts

I am looking at putting a lightweight portable outfit together and saw this on ebay.

Being wood it looks just the ticket.

The mount is over 4" between the pivot points so would take a 3" refractor

It is 5' high.

Any ideas on age and manufacture ? I thought old Prinz maybe.

Looks very similar to the wooden mount that came with my 60mm Prinz, but I do have the slow-mo controls. Mine is very wobbly, even with the EP tray bracing the legs. I wouldn't want another one like that.

If it was me I would get a more solid mount with slow mo controls.

But thats just me..

thanks Gents for stopping me from taking leave of my senses.

I had an AstroEngineering AZ mount with slow-mo for my bins but sold it recently , so best to keep an eye on Astroboot for another.
