Are you using Registax? If so what does the image look like prior to wavelet processing? If they're not there then I would blame subsequent processing. If they are there then its possible you have interference on the cables. Try different ones if possible, also make sure no mains cables are near.

I would try re-loading the pre-processed image prior to wavelet processing. Select the 'View Zoomed' button under functions and choose a selection with detail and some 'plain' image (no detail). Move each wavelet slider independently all the way right then back to 1 and note the effect on the zoomed image. This may show which one is introducing the line effect. It could also be a combination of different sliders. In general, try moving the slider to the right until you detect artefacts in the zoomed image. Then stop and move on to the next slider. Try searching the forum for Registax for more advice, I know some users do not use all the sliders. There should also be a Registax user manual in its folder which is very useful.
