Potential solar scope ?

Would this 102mm F/11 refractor be suitable for solar conversion using componants from my PST plus a suitable ERF ?:

From what I've read so far, F/11 seems to be the optimum focal ratio.

Just kicking ideas around while it's cloudy

Anything around f10 or slower will work very well.

I've used the Vixen at f11 with great success.

John, that's a nice looking scope for £299.

Ken, could i possibly have a copy of modifying a PST as well please. I have the PST now and already have a 90mm f11 donor scope. Just need the ERF and adapters, for now.

Yep - they have one at the moment - £25 though - seems a lot but I guess it's a specialised bit of kit

The thread on the PST etalon is a M50 x 1mm thread - not really a standard astro thread..... the SCT thread is close but not the same...
