Copernicus, Montes Apenninus and Mare Imbrium contrast blowout

Hello,

I got some snaps from the other night (28th) and made another mosaic, to be uploaded shortly. Here's a zoom in and enhance to demonstrate all the detail and colour variations that you wouldn't normally see when post-processing an image to make a "normal looking" moon.

More details in the mosaic thread (when I upload it), but made from 47 images, stacked with AVI Stack, merged with Microsoft ICE and butchered in CS3

Very nice, I'm loving the detail.... and I can even see Stadius, the Ghost Crater. I've been looking for it since reading about it the November's Sky at Night Magazine.

Haha I've just been looking for it for the last half an hour and you can indeed just about see it in this image! I'd never really noticed so many features of the moon until very recently

I'm def gonna have to get some better barlows so I can do some really close imaging...
