M1 - low in sky

Well since my early imaging attempts with a Meade DSI mk1 when one of my first targets was M1, I've been itching to have a go at it with the DSLR. It's still very low in the sky at a sensible hour so it's taken through a lot of atmosphere but I couldn't wait. It was done at the end of my imaging session last night so I only got eleven 5 minute subs and I'm not convinced focus was perfect.

11 x 5 minute subs at ISO 800. Darks taken. Processed in Adobe. Dynamic background applied in Pixinsight.

Probably over processed but not worth worrying about too much - I want to return to this target in a month or so when it's higher in the sky.

Michael - I used the 8" Newtonian for this one and the image has been cropped slightly. Taken with the unmodded Canon 1000D
