The Great Red Spot on Stellarium

Hi everyone,

I think I caught the GRS in one of my images last night, but according to Stellarium, it was on the other side of the planet. I was wondering if the position on Stellarium was accurate? Does the GRS move at a differing speed to the planet's rotation?

The 177 setting works for me.

I have just loaded Stellarium onto my computer and mine says:-

rot_rotation_offset = 250 #just some value good for GRS #old:151

Should I change it?

Just looked at my Stellarium and it says that the GRS should be visable at 20:00 hrs on 12th Sept.

Can anyone confrm this?

According to sky&telescope it should be around 11pm
