Jupiter Aug 31 GRS and moon 3x Barlow

Space Cowboy

Finally got the GRS in full view! Very low Alt barely 20 deg at 11ish last night, seeing was surprisingly stable. Done this with 2 skywatcher barlows stacked but one has lens removed to give a 2x and 1.5x = 3x :o

2 images below at 100% and 150%. Scope skymax 127

Cheers guys! I never expected so much detail at such a low altitude, was only going to experiment with some new settings. Forgot to mention this was a stack of 800 from 1000 taken at 10fps with Craterlet using SPC900NC. Next time will try 4x Barlow but I think that is nose bleed territory with a 127 aperture! :o
