Anyone heard of these?

I've been thinking about these scopes, basically they're a tubeless newt and the problem that you can see happening is dew. If some of the more technical among you were to build one of these, could the dew problem not be cured by attaching the element from a heated car mirror to the back of the primary ? I know that in a tubed newt this would cause air current distortion in the tube but because of the tubeless design, any hot air would rise vertically from the mirror and so shouldnt cause distortion to the view. The element should run happily from a 12 volt power supply. I wait to be shot down in flames :)
