Cheers all. Nadeem, give it a go. That is a very beautiful M31. This is rather fainter and maybe more blue which might not play as well into a DSLR, I don't know. But worth a go. Maybe book some kind of counselling help for potential dementia when you start the processing!! (I think I am now recovering...)

It seems from some feedback from Harry that it is still too bright on some screens. Sorry about that.

Harry my Mentor, of course I listen to you! You just can't hear my questions cos of that damned crash helmet. How does this look? Really sorry about this but the image is hypersensitive to screens in a way I haven't seen before. It nearly killed me so I'd like it to look okay.

do you know what the bright blues objects are in the picture theres two of them?

Do you mean right and left of the upper part of the galaxy? I picked up a couple of strongly greenish blue patches which I take to be O111 areas but I'm not sure.
