Caught comet Swan widefield

Put my Nikon 5400 on the barn door mount and pointed it in the area of sky where comet Swan

is predicted.

Took a 3 minute widefield shot and there it is.

I'm sure I captured some hint of the tail as well 8)

Also posting a link to the origonal large (1.9M) image if somebody could find time to tweak it for me

Gordon thats its colour, through the 12" dob I saw it as a blue/green colour

and the Nikon picked it up.

This one was a 1 minute exposure.

Not long enough to capture the comet but an image that

shows how light pollution reflects of the clouds.

Quite pretty in an evil twisted sort of way

Not read much about this comet, is there a tail? Is it likely to grow a tail at any point in it's observable lifetime?

Will zoom in a bit on the next try and also go for a 5 minute exposure.

Stands out here Phil, and if so the Tail is rather long but the Angle of it match's up well enough IMHO..

3 days on and Swan has trecked across Hercules

Bit washed out by moonlight tonight.
