Jupiter reprocessed

Dave Smith

Recommended Posts

I have had another go at stacking and processing the better of my two Jupiter images. This time I followed Nick Smith's instructions from the Imaging Day in Bedford and was fairly heavy handed with the wavelets in Registax. Also this time I have left the image at it's original size.

It was with a SPC900NC webcam through a 5x imagemate and FL102S refractor.

Any comments/suggestions for improvement gratefully received.

Dave

Great image with the 102, but I see from your signature that you have a C9.25. That is a great planetary scope. I would go for your DMK21 and C9.25 combo.

Peter

Thanks Peter. That is what I intend to do next. Use the C9.25 and DMK21 for luminence and the webcam to get colour information. A bit of resizing will be needed. I will also wait until Jupiter is higher as I did have some problem with atmospheric dispersion.
