Stephan's Quintet in Pegasus

Stephan's Quintet is a tough one. I saw them from Kielder in somebody else's big dob. I could see 3 very faintly with a 4th coming and going with averted vision - one of those things that you just get a hint of. Well done.

Great observation, Doc. What were your thoughts on this observation? Did you find it hard to locate and then observe even with your 16" LB?

Mark

It was easy to get to correct place once I starhopped with CduC, but then it was invisible.

Spent a good 15 minutes under my blackout blanket until a extremely dim blob started to appear, a further 5 mins until a slight gap appeared within the grey smudge. It was seen better when I tapped the OTA.

It was hard and dimmer then what the actual sketch shows but if I dim the sketch down you wouldn't see it.
