Its nice but I am almsot sure I have seen that one appear before on ebay. It will be bid up to some whacky price most like before the auction end and the sellers estimate of 5k for a new one seems very high to me. The last few have sold through on ebay at a long way short of 5k.

I wonder how old it is and what spec the mirror is. I know Ace Cameras sell them at a shade under 5K, but at that price I could go to the States and get one and have jolly good holiday and still come home with some cash.

Hi. Well I would'nt pay a huge sum either, but Questars are legendary, beautifully

made & iconic, so some are prepared to pay the money I suppose.

Just been reading up on the Rolls Royce of telescopes!

Basically its a 3.5 inch mak. The people who buy this must be mental and have more money than sense LOL! Each to their own.

Its almost a collector's item. I would probably spend the cash on a larger premium refractor
