You've virtually no chance at all i'm afraid, the Aurora is a vary rare event at our lattitudes allthough i do remember seeing a red Aurora back in the late 80's early 90's here in South Wales. It was really spooky seeing what appeared to be a red curtain waving in the sky accompanied by a low hissing sound( not sure if i really heard anything or if it was just my imagination lol )

Agreed... virtually none... Looking at the charts online (spaceweather I think it was), the Kp levels need to get up to 10 to get Aurora over southern England, and the current one has been getting up to 5/6... based on the Aurora_Alerts twitter feed.

I was looking at the NOAA website. It was ALL geek to me but i finally managed to work it all out (Kp levels) at my location (53N) to discover that it has to be a 10 to see them from here. I worked it out that the Kp level here is 7.

It was a good learning experience none the less
