Probe set for asteroid touch down!

Japan's Hayabusa spacecraft will soon move into place for an historic attempt to collect a sample from an asteroid.

I think if this was a Nasa project or even something like ESA then this would be a much more reported on event seem's little about it in the press other than these small snippets from what i can tell anyway..

I have always admired Japans approach to engineering/technology and am expecting good things from their space missions.

If Japan manage to get some great Space programmes in without any flaws then maybe in the future there will be another great space race! much like russia and the usa did :)

Quite Right Steve! There maybe interesting times ahead if more country's get involved in space programmes plus it will stop them spending so much cash or war machines etc etc.......

Hmmm. You'd be surprised how much they can find for war and weapons.

If we (mankind) expended as much time, effort and money on making the whole planet a better place to live, just imagine what we could achieve. The damage that mankind has wrought in a few short decades is shameful, even criminal.
