1.25" vs 2" EP

Could someone please tell me the advantage of a 2" EP over a 1.25"? I can find examples of both that give the same FOV.

above a certain focal length e/p (about 25mm i think) the 1.25" e/p FOV is limited to about 55 deg or less so if you want a widefield low power e/p it has to be 2 inch.

I think that the Televue Panoptic state that their 24mm, which has a 68 degree FOV, is the largest they can go with a 1.25". I have a 35mm Panoptics which is incredible both FOV and eye relief.

In conclusion if you want a wide angle EP then 2" EPs are the answer. I bought a Moonfish 30mm EP with a 80 degree FOV some years ago and it was very good and not that expensive.
