Registax 4 out on the 29th Oct.

Recommended Posts

No I didn't think Meade invented it, I thought Drizzle was theirs and that it worked best with Meade scopes and the DSI. Registax's inablity to cope with rotation was a real pain for me until I got ImagesPlus. My older version of Maxim couldn't handle the avis generated by K3tools so I had to convert every frame to a bit map using registax and then translate and rotate in Maxim. ImagesPlus handles avis and rotates but isn't free. Deepsky stacker will do it but is supposed to be fairly slow.

Deepsky stacker is fairly slow but great results and when or if you e.mail the creator of the software he replies virtually by return with excellent answers to your questions. Who else does that ?

No one that I know Robin. Good to know that. Deepsky stacker is building up a good reputation.
