Doesn't look like it will be a bad night tonight for most of the country.

Shame the moon will still be pretty bright, but has anyone got any plans for tonight?

I'm hoping to set my alarm for about 3ish and get some done later on, when M45 will be about and shortly after Orion (woot!)

May even hang around for Saturn too!

Got me 8" F6 on the EQ5 mount and hope to do some

tests on the mount's tracking following the mods to it.

Might point the toucam at the moon as well.

M45's not far from the moon at the moment so that might make

a nice pairing in a widefield shot.

Anyway, fingers crossed and clear skies to anybody who might be out later

I've just run Starry Night for tonight. I can forget Saturn, it'll be gone 5am before it clears the house to my SE.

Don't bother trying for M1 Kain, theres too much Moon about tonight. M1 is a pretty diffuse object.

Umm - sketching? Go for it. I've been trying this drawinf stuff for a while and it's cool. Makes you *really* look at what you are seeing.
