They seem to be advertising B&B's at the places, which seems pointless as you are paying for the bed but then staying up with a scope to observe.

Advertising self catering would be better as you stay up, then sleep late the next morning/day.

Also B&B's will not expect you to be wandering round the place in the early hours with scope and tripod under your arm.

I think the article is aimed at the 'townie' people getting to a place where they can see the night sky.

I hope some people read the article and decide to give it a go :D

Let's be honest there are fewer better things in nature than a clear moonless night viewed from somewhere like keilder. Anything that gets people outside and appreciating the night sky can only be a good thing.....
