These were travelling north together and dimmed the further north they went

I managed to see them in the guide scope but not the main scope

Colour? Speed? etc.

Both were a steady white the speed was slowish one was following the other

Geo-stationary satellites. They often appear to travel in pairs.

Yeah I was thinking Sats, there were very bright then dimmed, I have just never seen a pair moving like that before

I have only seen a pair of them once before. It was a very strange sight. They were headed on the exact same trajectory/route and from down here there was only a fingers width (at arms length) between them.

I have seen images of satellites that appearded to be flying in a trianglular formation before.

I enjoy spotting them and watching them. Some of those tiny white lights in the sky are as big as a double decker bus.
