M51 two 'Scopes

The conditions last night were very strange and although it looked very clear it was very difficult to collect good data as theer was a roughness to the images. In the end, I used 23 x 5 minute subs from my 8" Reflector and SXVF-M25C for RGB and combined this with 27 x 3 minute subs from my ED 80 Refractor and SXVF-H9 with IR filter. BUT ...... I finally got out again (which was nice).

Great image! Slightly green, compared to other I've seen, but everything is sharp and detailed. Maybe lacking a bit of red to be just perfect?

Yup, that is what I have been struggling with on this one! Something in the air (nothing to do with the volcano, I am sure) was giving severe grief with the colours.

Even though it's got a green tint, certainly a different prospective. Maybe I might get around to imaging this sometime.
