Meteor SE Last night 11PM is

Anyone witness that big meteor last night.. it was arount 11.30 -12PM in the SE... very impressive

I saw a really bright flash in Ursa Major around 12.15am last night... it didn't leave a trail and I thought might have been some kind of satellite flare, perhaps was a bright meteor?

I spotted it too coming down past Ursa Major

ive seen two in the last two nights both in the same region, around arcturus, thought that it was perhaps an early lyrid

Yep i think i saw the exact same one you did.... i phoned my girlfiend to say i just witnessed a shooting star or asteroid... i then back tracked and corrected myself with the word meteor lol.... im pretty new to all this so it was a beautiful sight... i pressumed to low and bright for a shooting star. For me off the top of my head i say it streaked between spica and saturn but MUCH lower in the skies :-) well chuffed

We saw a few meteors last night at the HantsAstro Moonfest so it does look like they have started
