moon and pleiades

Here's my atempt at the moon and pleiades occulation whitch I took last night (21 feb) at 19:07:50 ut. using my canon 350d with sigma 70- 300mm lens @ 300 mm,1/4 sec, f5.6 iso 1600.

Nice one Mark, very similar to my own, only you seem to have captured more stars.

I can't help but wonder how amazing this scene would have been if it'd happened just 4 or 5 days earlier... Thin crescent Moon, Pleiades, possibly numbering in many tens of stars.

Or... very young, ultra-thin crescent, Pleiades numbering in the hundreds, with wispy nebulosity. Well, maybe in another few hundred years...

yep I agree the moon was abit too bright, but that did'nt stop me from having a go.
