Vesta + double star Algieba

Went out in the early hours to observe the asteroid Vesta make its close pass to the double star Gamma Leonis and 40 Leo.

Below is a drawing made at 02:30 UT. Algieba was split at 81x. Used 326x, and got the most beautiful view of the double star,

with faint diffraction rings visible around both stars.
