Last night I got a few quick hours in before bed, managed 40 mins on the whirlpool.

EOS 40D (modded)

Skywatcher Flattener (impressed)

Revelation 600mm ED f/6

Lvi Guide cam and 200mm modded M42 lens

Am waiting now for a few good nights to add more data..

:icon_salut:An exquisite wide field Guy. 51 looks splendid, and there are several other fuzzies dotted about. Worth running it through Astrometry to Identify them? Or do you know what they are.?

I would have a play about with the black levels and see if you can bring those faint fuzzies out a bit more. Very nice, natural looking image though!

Its amazing Guy what such short sessions will show beyond the main subject. An honest image sometime best not be messed about with, nice result though.
