Stacking lunar pics

If you take say 30 subs of the moon with an DSLR and stack them will you achieve more detail of the moon or does stacking only really work on DSOs?

In theory, it's more about helping get through the seeing. You can load your SLR images into Registax 5 and stack them there (I've tried it a couple of times, but don't generally worry about it for SLR images)

Worth a try ... it helps keep the noise down to stack multiple exposures, though it doesn't help the sharpness much. But the usual issue with DSLR images at long focal length is mirror / shutter vibrations causing blurring; the web cam will always win.

It is a bit hit and miss.

I usually take single pics of the Moon but I have also taken video using my fuji S5600.

The results using video can be excellent but sometimes they are worse than the single shots.
