hey guys were neil and jo totaly new to astronomy and made a cardinal sin (hehe telescope) want the wife to see some gr8 stuff tonight any one got some idea's for something erly this evening?

Hi There

Im from nearby Bridgwater.

Its gotta be Jupiter... easy to find, instant great views... no contest. Lowish in the South West sky this evening ;-). You cant miss it, its the brightest thing in the night sky tonight, like a light bulb.

The double cluster is a must too. Here's how I find it . It is high up in the sky and you can hardly see it naked eye. However a wonderful view in any sized scope.

If you can wait a little longer the Pleiades (7 sisters) rises in the East a little later in the evening. Again any sized scope will suit.
