Did anyone else just see that fireball?

Or at least I think it was a fireball or a flare!!! Around 00:15 on Saturday morning, it seemed to start near the tail of Cygnus like a very wide meteor and exploded near Andromeda. What a sight!!

Damn, I came in at 12.10 because the Celestron dewed up. Just a couple more minutes and I would have seen it.

I was out around that time (just packing up as the f/n neighbour had left his security light on) but must have missed it.

I was lucky to catch it, I'd been looking at the Dumbell and went to look at the glob just to the south (M71), I moved away from the scope to change to a high power EP and saw it. I'll try a post on SAA to see if someone can confirm it, I'm pretty sure it wasn't an Iridium flare but I'd like to know what it was for sure!!

BTW anyone else staying up for Mars? I've swapped my Newt for my refractor and Mak just in case the urge takes me!
