Hi from Berkshire

Hi

I'm Mike Skybadger from Riseley in South Berkshire. I've been an astronomer since I was 10 and mostly a member of UKAI which has been very informative. So I joined here to find out how the sites compare and contrast and catch the astro vibe.

I have glass-fibre domed observatory on an octagonal shed which house the new steel pier, a Visac 8" on a GP-DX with SS2K and 80ED guidescope. Lateley this has been pulled apart and will be replaced with a larger Astro Systems Mount using an iOptron drive control system.

Projects I'm currently working on include :

Large horseshoe mount for up to 14" scopes (begun)

12" diameter steel pier (finished bar the installation)

10" Newtonian and AE munt refurb (almost complete)

and finding hard to get the garage time never mind the sky-time.
