What a fantastic night! First England thrash Croatia to qualify for the world cup then i get some very pleasing images of Jupiter with my afocal compact Acer camera setup! Still can't get the cam to focus but i'm amazed at what this camera can do! All the colours, cloud bands and exposure are there just needs focus. Every time i press the shutter the image is buzzing around the view finder i guess a remote shutter release might help? Anyhow i used the 10 sec timer to allow things to settle down. Best images were with lowest ISO of 50 and 1/4 sec shutter speed.

Here are 2 images first is with 3x optical zoom on 32mm plossl with 2x barlow. 2nd image i used digital zoom to see if it would focus (still stayed red). Not sure how to go about processing....i tried stacking some with Registax but the 4 out of 10 it stacked produced an image fainter than the single pics.

Tweaked the first image for contrast and sharpness. Got some avi video footage to stack, not sure if it will produce anything great as the quality looks rather fuzzy. Wish i could use my fujifilm 8000fd as its much better video quality but it wont work with afocal :-(

Getting the hang of stacking avi footage. Stacked over 1700 frames from 2 mins. Not over excited about the result looks like a crayon drawing. Colours are all wrong. Have sharpened the image which has given it a very bright outer edge. Certainly prefer the single image shots.
