Helios 6" Refractor

Seems cheap for a 6" ref. with a mount...

wow. That's pretty much the exact same starter kit that I have, except a few more accessories and mine is a 4" tube. If I had the money spare I'd be tempted by that, but unfortunately other things like eating and living are stealing my money

Helios is the brand name Synta scopes were marketed under before the advent of the Skywatcher brand, and are of the same quality.

£100 would be a steal.

I had the short tube version of this scope which was really very good. I swapped for a TAL 2M though (a good move on my part!)

Can't belive that it has no bids still.

I had the short-tube Helios version (Startravel rather than Evostar). Great for a quick, portable scope despite the limitations of some CA and so on.

I was burgled and it was stolen and later recovered somewhat damaged. I sold it as was to my lasting regret now that I know more than I did then and should have had it repaired instead.

This is a bargain for someone although you might need an extension tube for your mount as the eyepiece position can get a little bit untenable at times.
