Another one - again, I was only able to capture Ha data, because the cloud gods were mean - more data required, but I wanted to post my pure Salisbury Star Party images.

The diffraction spikes are false - put in the hide a few larger nasty shaped stars :)

Thanks for looking!

People LUURVE the spikes, I noticed that while showing a few pics to visitors on saturday, makes them look like "real stars"!!!

I see that technique you showed me has enhanced this to great effect, i cant wait to try it on some images. I'm actually looking forward to a few cloudy nights!

Nice one Rich

Thanks :)

Nope - I converted from Mono to RGB mode, duplicated the luminance and assigned to Blend mode 'Colour', and then just adjusted the levels of each RGB channel separately on the Colour data. No Hue/Saturate I'm afraid

A hint of colour in the spikes - hmmm - not sure how that happened Peter!

Cheers,

Richie
