Conversation often wanders off-topic. If its just a little off then I often find I learn something unexpected so have no problems with that, if its miles off the moderators can split the thread into two separate topics.

I tend to read all the posts in a thread. I'm not keen when a thread goes off topic, but to be fair, this forum is better than most for that.

if it's a kind of just chewing the fat general chatty sort of thread then it's fine if it goes of topic. If someone has asked for help or advice, then it isn't.

If the OP's question has been answered then it's not probably a huge problem (I don't mind if a thread of mine goes off topic as long as I've got the answer I wanted). I think to some extent if you've posted and got an answer then the thread isn't really 'yours' anymore, it's everyones.

If it turns into a slanging match between a couple of ego's who post every few minutes then I'd probably rather they took it outside so to speak.

EDIT: Ooops didn't answer the whole question - yes, I try to read all the posts in a thread.
