6 Day Moon

Recommended Posts

Had a great night last night with both the Helios 120mm refractor & the OMC140 Maksutov.

I'm not having a lot of success with the OMC at prime focus due to the long focal length forcing me to increase the ISO more than I would really like.

So here is a prime focus shot using the refractor & Nikon D70 combination.

This is over sharpened to make the craters "pop" out.

Thats nice Paul.

I quite like the craters "popping out". Thats pretty good mate, is that a single frame?

Cheers

Ant

Hi Ant

This is a single frame.

People keep telling me to stack a series of single frames but haven't got round to it yet.

Tonight may be the night as I have never had so many clear consecutive nights to photograph the Moon since I started last year :icon_salut:

Thanks for your comments, I'm chomping at the bit as I type to have another crack.

The last three nights have been cracking for us Moon squizzers.
