A Tale of Two Images

Two very different results from 1st Dec.

Snow on the ground and a short moonless window.  I tried a relatively well known Dales view - the Gunnerside Barns.  7 x 5s, f2, iso3200.  Canon R8 and 50mm Sigma.  LR, Sequator and PS.  Quite realistic.

Aurora chances were high and a Red alert pinged 10 minutes later on the way up to Buttertubs Pass (only the key main roads are clear of snow and ice).  Aurora 4s, foreground 15s.  f2, iso3200 Canon R8, Sigma 24mm.  LR and PS.  Quite over the top    Great to be out, despite it being -6C at 6pm...cheers, Paul.

So chuffed for you, Paul. Both awesome images and the aurora is a memorable one, for sure.

Unfortunately freezing fog meant I had to live this one vicariously through those who were clear.
