Popped into the museum whilst in Bath at the weekend. A few years since last visited, but still excellent.

Pretty hot in there. One of the coolest rooms had an a/c unit but was still 27C.

Added benefit was seeing people in period dress for the Jane Austen fest0B3A16C8-9266-4C7B-A9F2-EABBDE51314B.thumb.jpeg.61d9b18499169e278f9619a9221f7015.jpeg7102345B-436D-435B-A0EE-EB4537D1E808.thumb.jpeg.c78a1574abf8e5bfbf1a0f9a91571f2a.jpeg6006E1A5-68F5-4E83-9CF7-B1C6802F6AD4.jpeg.19cf7d341b5bb563ec4d4ba657d42376.jpegival

Ooh don't they have a model of the 40-foot telescope there? Very topical for me as I'm also trying to track down Enceladus, albeit with a much smaller scope 😂

I don't think they have his 40ft scope, though they have one of his smaller (6" I think) scopes on display

Ah, I thought there might be a small scale model there. I understand the first of the two speculum primarys is in the London science museum, and the remaining 10 feet of tube is in the Greenwich observatory.
